Here we chronicle some events in our cattery. Happy news, sad news - it's all here and part of life as a cat breeder. We started this as a blog before anyone knew what a blog was. October 30, 2003 Golden Seal is pleased to welcome its newest member, Heartbir A van Gogh of Golden Seal, to our cattery. This seal tortie girl is known to her friends as Ava, Ava the tootie or Ava Jane. She is in the process of launching her tortie takeover of the solid Birmans already here. Torties have a funny way of managing the rest of the population and have very decisive natures to their personalities. Ava certainly meets the high tortie standards and I expect her to be the alpha cat within another couple of weeks. What a HOOT!! You can see all of this in her candid photo. She is now 6 months old and will be attending shows and eventually entering the breeding program. Best, Sallie
