May 25, 1999 This is the last week before our two litters of kittens are born, one to Peti, the blue point, and one to Tinkie, the seal point. We've had another girl, named Unitie, in to breed to Sunny. She is part of our Anderson, SC contingent and will be going home tomorrow to make room for the kittens. She is a beautiful girl, out of our Rapsodie & Doonie. She is blue carrying chocolate. I wish we had another chocolate line to breed her into, but I bet she and Sunny will have nice kittens. Her mother, Rapsodie who lives in Anderson too, will be over for her final breeding (also with Sunny) in a few weeks. Rapsodie will be retiring to her pet family after this litter. We hope that Unitie can carry on that line in her mother's place. Unitie will have some challenges as she reigns as the only cat at a retirement home in Anderson and will have to move elsewhere to raise her family. I'm sure the retirees will enjoy watching Unitie as she grows through her pregnancy but will no doubt miss her when she has to go away to raise her family. |
