Here we chronicle some events in our cattery. Happy news, sad news - it's all here and part of life as a cat breeder. We started this as a blog before anyone knew what a blog was. | Oct 13, 2002 Our first of two expected litters was born today - 4 kittens to CH Heartbir's Xara of Golden Seal and GC Heartbir's Redeemer. This group took a LONG time getting here because Mom started showing signs of labour about 5 AM this morning and the last kitten was born at 4:30 this afternoon. We almost called the emergency vet when Xara had laboured to almost the point of distress. A gentle nudge from a gloved finger seems to have gotten the show on the road. Mom is exhausted and so is the mid-wife. These kittens can be blue or lilac. Sexes to be determined. |
